Introduction and Background

Each year the Whanganui Chapter have a tree decorating event at Aramoho Cemetery.

There is an open invitation to families who have experienced the death of a child, from any cause…. illness, accident, suicide... recently…. or many years ago, no matter where their child may be resting. Family members are invoted to join members by placing wind chimes, Christmas decorations, and mementos in the trees sheltering the Children’s Area and the Stillborn Memory Wall at the Aramoho Cemetery.

By visiting where many of our children rest, we can leave something of beauty and peace there. Bereaved parents, siblings and family have a hole in their lives forever, felt especially at Christmas.

Parents, who have had a child die too soon, from - baby loss, illness, accident, suicide, murder who have died at any age - at any time – recently or long ago - are invited to join us at Aramoho Cemetery Saturday 2^nd December at 10 am .

We will be placing decorations and mementoes at the two trees sheltering the Children’s Area and the Stillborn Area. Bring Christmas tree decorations, wind chimes, fresh flower petals or any special memento of your loved one.

• Directions : Take the first left at the Cemetery, McNeill St.
• Children’s Area Block P (take 3^rd right at Block O, then to Block P)
• Stillborn Area turn into McNeill St. go to the far end and turn left

By visiting these places where many of our children rest, we can leave something of beauty and peace there. Bereaved parents, siblings and family have a hole in their lives forever, felt especially at Christmas.
